Ute Field

A state-of-the-art competition and practice facility for the Utah women's soccer and men's lacrosse programs opened in August of 2019.

Ute Field and Crimson Field are part of a growing Olympic Sports Complex, located just west of Wasatch Drive on the eastern edge U campus. The complex also includes the McCarthey Family Track & Field, Dumke Family Softball Stadium, Spence Eccles Ski Team Building and sand volleyball courts.

The competition field is a high-performance sand-based natural grass field with drainage, allowing for play on a safe surface even during heavy rain. Lights have installed, providing the option for night games and televised contests. Permanent bleacher seating for 900 fans plus additional lawn seating is located on the east side of the field. The spectator area is connected to a sprawling plaza, which has concessions and restroom facilities, and is utilized for pre-game festivities. The practice field features a FieldTurf surface. 

Phase two of the project will include seating on the west side and a building that will include locker rooms, a training room, equipment room, coaches' offices, concession stands, restrooms and a press box.
